June 19, Juneteenth Holiday: How City Services Will Be Affected

City Hall and other municipal offices will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in celebration of Juneteenth Holiday. Public safety and emergency services will be operational. Other city services will function as follows:

Firefighters and EMS workers will be on duty.

  • Police personnel will be on duty.

General Services

  • 3-1-1 The call center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 5 Pp.m. to 11 p.m. for urgent animal problems and traffic light malfunctions.
  • Animal care officers will be on duty.
  • There will be code enforcement personnel on hand for both emergency coverage and inspections.
  • Visitors using downtown parking will enjoy a holiday for on-street parking meters. Garages and properties that are operated off-street by the City are exempt from this.
  • Outdoor pools will open on June 19. For information on operating hours and locations, go to SanAntonio.gov/ParksAndRec.
  • City parks and trails will be open.
  • Limited fitness and park classes will be held.

Waste Collection & Drop Off

Garbage, recycling, and organics will be collected according to scheduled schedules throughout the week.
